About Us

Your Journey to CrossFit Starts Here

CrossFit has been in La Grande since 2013, and I've been the owner of Eagle Cap since 2016. We enjoy doing community workouts and get-togethers and have a pretty varied range of athletes. At Eagle Cap, we believe in challenging yourself to achieve your fitness goals via a supportive community and coaching.

Code of Conduct

  • Leave your ego at the door. It's okay to start slowly and with light weights.

  • If you don't know somebody, introduce yourself. We're a family.

  • Arrive early, stay late, and encourage others. We are all on this fitness journey together.

  • Work on your weaknesses.

  • If you are unsure about something, ask.

  • Don't cheat. The only one who loses is you.

  • No kids on the mats during class. This is for the safety of your children and our members.

  • Respect the equipment (i.e., Don't drop unloaded bars or 10# plates)

  • Clean up and put away equipment after class.

  • Don't quit, EVER!!! Scale, reduce weight, take a break, but FINISH!

  • Have FUN.

ERIN - Coach E

CrossFit Level 2 Trainer

 Coach

Many of us come to CrossFit looking to make a life change, and coach Erin was no different.  Active her entire life from high school sports to kickboxing to triathlons; Erin found her true passion after attending her first CrossFit class in December of 2013.  Since that day, obsession might be a better description.  She has stood on the podium multiple times at the Best of the West CrossFit Competitions, she’s been an “elite” qualifier in the Kill Cliff Cascade Classic, and is ranked in the top 100 athletes in the CrossFit West Region.

Outside of CrossFit, Erin is a teacher/mother/wife/personal chauffeur.  She has two kids who actively play sports and can usually be found in the back of the gym squeezing in an extra workout in between shuttling kids to and from practice and games.  She is the crazy coach willing to come in every morning at 5:30 AM with a smile on her face ready to train hard, yell loudly, and encourage every athlete while busting out her famous dance moves to some old school gangster rap!!!

Bene

Coach/Owner

CrossFit Level 2 Trainer. CrossFit Nutrition

French mama of four who didn't find her athletic/competitive side until starting CrossFit back in 2013. She believes that growth happens outside your comfort zone and tries to be reminded of that frequently.

When not at the box, or at her day job at her husband's chiropractic clinic, you can find Bene trail running, mat side cheering her wrestlers, or spending time with her family on their farm.

Bottom line: CrossFit simply changed her life.  It improved her quality of life, and she wants to share that.

Chris

Coach

Chris started his CrossFit journey in 2021 seeking something to help him get in better shape and lose weight. Since then Chris has lost over 100 lbs and is the healthiest he has even been thanks to CrossFit! Chris has been a member of EagleCap since 2023 and started coaching the sport that has given him so much back in 2025.

Aside from CrossFit Chris is the pastor at Hub City Church and loves building community and connecting with people in and outside of the gym. He's a passionate reader and tea drinker, and when he isn't coaching or preaching you can find him with his wife of 10 years and their dog Chance traveling all over the place!
